Techno Park, set up by the Government of Dubai as a world-class industrial complex, hosted the groundbreaking ceremony of Mammut Technocrete, the largest and most modern pre-cast factory spread across 2,160,000 square foot area within Techno Park premises, with a total investment of Dhs. 500 million.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs & Free Zone and Techno Park, Abdulla Al Qurashi, Chief Executive Officer, Techno Park and Behzad Ferdows, Managing Partner, Mammut Group.

“The ground-breaking of Mammut Technocrete adds value to Techno Park which has been set up to bring benefits to the UAE and regional community socially and economically, and in the fields of construction and science,” said  Al Qurashi. “The UAE is currently developing huge construction projects and this factory specializing in the production of precast concrete panels will go a long way in speeding up the construction process.”

“We are building the biggest pre-cast factory in the world here in Dubai, because we share the vision of Techno Park and believe in Dubai’s leadership,” said Behzad Ferdows, Managing Partner, Mammut Group. “Mammut Technocrete will produce all types of pre-cast panels incorporating new floor and wall panel technologies from Germany and Canada that will greatly improve the speed, cost and quality of construction. We are delighted to be a part of Techno City and with this groundbreaking we affirm our commitment to this project which will totally revolutionise the construction industry in the UAE and the region.”

Mammut Technocrete is set to introduce to the region new patented Canadian technology that offers benefits like maximum speed, flexibility, superior insulation and load-bearing capability. Using this technology, it is possible to construct a two-storey villa in 24 hours. Multi-storey buildings, high-rises and shopping centers too can be constructed in record time with the new technology.

“The new technology used by Mammut Technocrete will enable contractors to double or treble their capability, without increasing their manpower,” added Ferdows. “We have tied up with renowned companies for transfer of technology, so that we bring to the UAE and the region the most advanced and latest construction technologies.”

Techno Park is being developed as a hub for industry and hi-tech manufacturing for local and GCC companies. The new economic zone provides attractive incentives, superior infrastructure and single-window clearance. Several major companies have already signed up for setting up factories at Techno Park.

The various clusters at Techno Park will include light industries, medium industries, desalination & water resources, oil & gas and pharmaceuticals, environmental sciences, material sciences, agrotech, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals and other hi-tech industries.
