Dubai Property Investment Show (DPIS), the region's comprehensive annual exhibition, part of the International Property Week, for the international and Middle East property markets, has announced free seminars for exhibition visitors.
The event's organisers, THE DOMUS GROUP in partnership with Strategic Marketing, have enlisted leading international and local real estate experts from across the world to advise attendees on investing, planning and managing property in the GCC or abroad.
The seminars are divided into two main broad interest areas, covering private buyers and real estate (trade) professionals respectively. They will be held every day through the course of the exhibition. Dubai Property Investment Show is being held from February 1 to 3, 2005, at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
"The seminars have been designed to give visitors a comprehensive insight into the real estate market - the best property deals, issues that need to be examined before investing, trends in property development, and practical advice from the experts," said Guy Guillemard, Marketing Director of THE DOMUS GROUP.
"We have hand-picked leading industry experts to address relevant topics so visitors can get maximum value for their time at the show," continued Guillemard.
On the first day, Wally Hart, head of Special Projects at Better Homes will address real estate professionals on 'Outsourcing your sales function', Richard Cotton, Senior Partner of Cluttons will discuss 'Feasibility Studies for new projects', Reliance Facilities Management will guide investors on outsourcing facilities management and Orange Business Solutions will talk about 'Collaborative 3D real-time visualisation systems for construction projects and property marketing'.
The second day will focus on 'Investor opportunities at Sentosa Cove, Singapore's iconic waterfront development' by the Head of Strategy & Consulting of DTZ and 'Maintaining Property Values through Effective Management ' by ASTECO Property.
During the afternoon sessions, Amlaki, a Dubai-based software solutions firm, will guide professionals on 'Embracing Technology in a competitive industry', Brian Johnson of Godwin Austen Johnson (architect behind such masterpieces as The One & Only Mirage and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Clubs) will advise developers on how to 'Get the best from your architect' and Green Concepts International will talk about 'Planning & Budgeting Landscaping Requirements'
On the third day, Adel Lootah, Executive Director of Dubai Property Group will demonstrate 'How membership of Dubai Property Group helps agents and developers' and United Properties' and Ignatius Kruger will evaluate the benefits of 'Outsourcing Retail management'. The afternoon sessions will feature 'Investment Products for the Dubai Market' by Landmark Properties' director Ron Lovell.
In store for private buyers on the first day is a discourse on 'Investing in Dubai' by Global Eye, leading independent financial services consultants and Dubai Property Centre finance partner. Investing in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand (Phuket) will be tackled by real estate agents Henry Butcher International, DTZ Singapore and Indigo Real Estate respectively.
The second day will feature a unique topic - investing in vineyards, by Adam Dakin of Vinea Transactions. Buyers with an eye on investing in Australia, New Zealand and the UK can attend sessions by Tracey Braithwaite of Wholesale Property Brokers, Hanover Group and Imagine Homes respectively.
Visitors can also learn about investing in Bulgaria from Bulgarian Dreams, tips on buying property in France from Sherwood Property and investing and buying off-plan property in Spain.
On the third day, Amlak Finance will educate visitors on financing their dream home while Landmark properties can show investors how to structure a Dubai property portfolio. Other topics include opportunities in Al Hamra Village (Ras Al Khaimah) by Better Homes, budgeting for and installing a new garden by Paul Seils of Green Concept International, investing in Cyprus by Thommaides Group, and a guide to buying at auction by Atlantis Marketing.
The exhibition is open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on February 1 and 2, and 10 am to 8:00 pm on February 3 at Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
Dubai Property Investment Show features international property including high and low-density residential apartments and villa developments, office and mixed-use developments, resorts, trade zones, special-purpose developments
and land development. The expected profile of exhibitors includes property developers, financiers, real estate agents and consultants, designers and others involved in the real estate industry in the UAE, the whole Arab region, Indian subcontinent and other high-growth real estate markets of the world. Alongside the exhibition are The Property Forum of free seminars for investors
