Dubai retailers prepare for arrival of HTC – PDA maker to the world

Smartphone and PDA maker HTC has teamed up with The Link Retail Distribution (HTC Authorized Regional Distributor) to run a series of training seminars for Dubai-based retailers in preparation for the arrival of HTC in the UAE.


More than 100 sales staff from electronic retailers in Dubai attended the first event, held at Dusit Dubai, where they learnt about current and future HTC products.

Vishnu Vardhan, Executive Director, HTC Middle East and North Africa, said: “We are forging close relationships with all our distribution channels, as the retail staff are brand ambassadors for HTC. Our heavy investment in the HTC retailer training programme further underpins our commitment to this region.”

Ahmed Ashraf, General Manager, and The Link Retail Distribution, added: “Electronic retailers in UAE are very excited about HTC’s arrival. The market has developed. The emergence of 3G is maturing & there is greater awareness & willingness in people to use new technology. HTC range of products is the most innovative that this region has ever seen, and Middle East customers are ready and willing to try them.”

HTC products currently on sale in the Middle East are the S620 smartphone, P4350 personal digital assistant (PDA), P3300 personal mobile navigator, TyTN pocket PC phone and P3600 PDA phone.
