ALBAWABA - Tanzania has begun construction of its first electric railway line, which will run 300 kilometers from Dar es Salaam on the coast to Morogoro in the west.
This is a major infrastructural accomplishment. With cutting-edge electric and signaling equipment, the project—hailed as Eastern Africa's first electric standard-gauge railway—has been completed.
Yapı Merkezi's Project Manager, M. Fırat Aygen, highlighted the revolutionary effect of the recently opened railway, characterizing it as the first step toward a larger revolution in transportation across the area.
With designs for the second segment almost finished, Yapı Merkezi, in charge of four of the five parts of Tanzania's massive railway construction project, which spans more than 1,000 kilometers, has successfully completed the first.
Tanzania Railways Corporation's general manager, Masanja Kadogosa, emphasized the project's importance in boosting economic development and improving transportation efficiency across Tanzania and Eastern Africa. He emphasized that the first journey, which carried 1,400 people at no cost, had slashed the two cities' travel times to only two hours.
