Italy's Edison Gas has entered into an agreement with National Iranian Oil Co. to explore the 1,040 square mile / 1665 square km Munir block in southwestern Iran.
Edison committed to spend at least $40 million on its Iranian program that will include a seismic survey and drilling at least three exploratory wells.
Other details should be announced soon.
