Egypt’s Central Bank reports money supply totals EP273.9 billion

A bulletin recently published by the Central Bank of Egypt revealed that during the month of February, the local money supply stood at EP273.886 billion. This figure reflects an increase relative to the corresponding period of last year, where the country’s money supply totaled only EP244.844. Furthermore, this figure shows a growth from the previous month, with supply valued at EP 271.625. 

 

The exchange (transfer, buy) rates for May 6, 2001, published by the Central Bank, were as follows: U.S.$=384.0000, Euro=343.0656, Pound Sterling=551.5008, Swiss Franc=221.9140 and 100 Japanese Yen=317.2243. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
