This September, the value of Egypt’s crude oil exports grew to $118 million, compared with the $104 million of the previous month. These figures, published recently by Xinhua News Agency Bulletin, reflect a 30 percent increase compared with September of last year, when exports amounted to $92 million.
Additional figures reveal that the production of crude oil in Egypt totaled 2,866 tons in September, falling from 3,030 tons in August and 3,200 tons in September of last year.
Further figures for September showed that Egypt’s domestic oil consumption also decreased to 2,344 from 2,486 tons in August. This amount, however is an increase compared with the 1,800 tons consumed in September of 1999. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
