Last week mutual funds under performed the PAMI, gaining 0.5 percent, whereas the PAMI rose 0.65 percent. Twenty funds were able to end last week on a positive note. SAIB third fund and AMEX first fund were the top gainers advancing 2.88 percent and 0.99 percent respectively. Meanwhile, the bottom performer was AMIG fund, inching down 0.07 percent.
Mutual funds outperformed the PAMI in terms of YTD performance, as the PAMI closed downward 1.51 percent, while the average funds' NAV rose 0.41 percent. The top two fund gainers were SAIB third fund and AMEX first fund advancing 2.88 percent and 0.99 percent respectively. AMIG fund sustained the lowest performance with a 1.53 percent decline in its YTD net asset value.
