Egypt’s paper industry has recorded a thirty percent increase in prices this year. At the same time, imports of the commodity decreased due to the increase of the US dollar exchange rate, reported Al-Alam El-Youm .
Egyptian’s consume 300,000 tons of paper annually, of which 200,000 tons are imported. The North African state imports pulp from the US and Russia. Indonesia has also emerged as a dominant player in Egypt’s paper market
