Egypt's market extended its losses on Monday's session, as the benchmark EGX30 index went down 0.87 percent, recording 8,087.54 points and a turnover of LE445 million ($56.8 million), the Egyptian Exchange data showed.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index declined 1 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively.
Local, Arab and foreign institutions were net buyers, recording net flows of LE17.7 million ($2.3 million), LE7.7 million ($1 million) and LE5.8 million ($740,000), respectively, while local and Arab retail were net sellers, recording net flows of LE13.5 million ($1.7 million) and LE17.9 million ($2.3 million).
The EGX market capital lost LE2.83 billion (US$368 million), hitting LE493.66 billion ($63.05 billion), compared to LE496.49 billion ($63.41 billion) on Sunday.
