The Egyptian government has decided to allot 32 million Egyptian pounds ($7.5 million) to projects, aimed at upgrading the electricity network the country’s central upper districts, servicing two million residents, according to Al-Ahram daily.
Director general of the Electricity Company’s central region division, Mahmud Ghali, stated that the projects consist of constructing new generation facilities, renewing existing networks and executing maintenance works. Work will reportedly take place in the regions of Minia, Bani Swaif, Fayum, Asyut and the New Valley. — (Mena Report)
