Egypt: Automotive Market up 11.25 Percent Amid Rise in Sales

The automotive market in Egypt registered the sale of 22,905 vehicles during September, Hapi Journal reported on October 31st.

The volume came 11.25% Year on Year (YoY) higher than 20,589 sold cars, the news portal cited Automotive Manufacturing Information Council’s (AMIC) report.

September’s div was also 25% Month on Month higher, compared with 18,262 vehicles.

Passenger cars and trucks reported a growth in sales by 24% to 17,510 items and 9.6% to 3,348 units during September, AMIC indicated.

Bus sales were unlike the other vehicles, posting an annual decline of 34.1% to 2,506 sold vehicles.

Egypt's car sales increased YoY by 22% during the first half of 2020, AMIC earlier reported.
