Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak recently received a message from Bahrain’s emir, Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa Al-Khalifa relating to the strengthening of bilateral ties, reported Al-Ahram daily.

The message was delivered by the Gulf state’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who arrived in Cairo Monday, May 21.

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher told reporters that the message dealt with “ways of boosting relations between the two brotherly countries in the various fields, especially trade and technology.” He also said that the emir invited Mubarak to visit the Gulf state in the near future.

Maher added that Mubarak and the Bahraini crown prince discussed the “deteriorating situation in the Palestinian territories,” during their meeting. ― (MENA Report)
