Mohamed Nabil, founder, and CEO of WideBot, stated that the company is currently developing a new Arabic model similar to the well-known ChatGPT. Nabil also added that WideBot is working on securing a fund worth around $4 million before the end of 2024 to help expand in the regional markets.
Additionally, Nabil explained that the large language model (LLM), a type of artificial intelligence (AI) program that can recognize and generate text, among other tasks, do not support different dialects of the Arabic language. WideBot created a new model that supports different Arabic dialects, that will assist diverse sectors including banking, health, communications, and government sectors, according to his interview with Al Arabiya Business.

Nabil added: “We’ve surpassed all existing Arabic LLMs, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in general Arabic AI. Our lab's commitment to excellence, and we’re excited about its potential to transform how businesses in the MENA region engage with AI.”
The CEO added that companies and governments in the Arab region often struggle to communicate effectively with their customers using artificial intelligence (AI), as the existing models do not support Arabic dialects.
WideBot successfully managed to develop an LLM model that understands various Arabic dialects, including Egyptian, Saudi, Emirati, and others.
