Egypt invests in Giza water and sewage projects

The total investment in the water and sewage infrastructure projects currently carried out in the Egyptian city of Giza and the surrounding areas is estimated at 800 million Egyptian pounds ($206 million), according to the governor of Giza, Mahmoud Abu Leil. 

 

In the report, appearing in Al-Ahram daily, it was further disclosed that these projects aim to provide drinking water and sewage services to the nearly three million inhabitants of the district. 

 

Abu Leil also stated that the new Badrsheen Water Generation Station would commense operation next week for testing purposes. The station, which cost EP 85 million to set up, will supply potable water to the cities of Badrshin and Hawamdiya within the district. — (MENA Report)
