Egypt retaliates against Kenya in trade dispute

Following Kenya’s decision in June to exclude Egyptian wheat and rice from a list of preferencial goods under the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa agreement (COMESA), Egypt retaliated by removing Kenyan tea from its list of preferential goods, and instead imposed 35 percent tariff.
