Egyptian Efforts to Boost Exports

Egypt continues with its efforts to promote exports.  

 

On April 8, as part of these endeavors, the Egyptian Premier, Dr. Atef Ubied greeted a visiting Hungarian agriculture expedition, headed by Dr. Joseph Turgian, the Minister of Agriculture and Development. 

 

Following the meeting, the Hungarian official announced plans for the formation of a joint working groups consisted of businesspersons and experts in to promote mutual investment, technology transfer and to expand trade exchanges between the two sides. Plans were also devised for the establishment of distribution and trade centers to increase Egyptian exports to Europe. Hungary constitutes a strategic gateway for the European states and for the former USSR, Al Ahram Daily reported. The Hungarian side also expressed willingness to cooperate with Egypt in its mega-agricultural and development projects, namely East al Awinat and Tushki. 

 

Meanwhile, Dr. Yusuf Butrous Ghali, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, met with Moroccan Industry Minister, Al-I'lmy al Tazi. The two ministers discussed ways to enhance commercial ties, and to implement the free trade exchange accord signed by these two countries.
