A delegation representing the Public Exporters Association of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to visit Moscow next July, reported Al-Ahram daily.
The Egyptian exporters group, accompanied by Egyptian Minister of Economy and Foreign Commerce Youssef Boutros Ghali, is expected to discuss new means of boosting bilateral exchanges and cooperation with their Russian counterparts. Potential joint projects include technology transfer and technical assistance.
A series of bilateral agreements has been concluded during President Hosni Mubarak’s visit to the Russian capital late April. The agreements aim to increase cooperation between the two countries in areas of trade, industry and technology.
Egyptian-Russian commerce has dropped steadily over the last 20 years and annual trade is reported at $550 million. ― (MENA Report)
