Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid and Saudi oil minister Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Nuaimi studied Saturday, June 1, oil and gas cooperation between their two countries, the official SPA agency said.
After the meeting, Nuaimi said the two had discussed "shared investment in the domains of oil and gas on the production level, and exchange of visits and experts."
On May 14, Nuaimi had announced Saudi-Egyptian plans to form a technical committee charged with studying the possible refining of Saudi oil in Egypt and the selling of it from there, as well as in other African countries and in Europe.
Ebeid, who arrived Friday in Riyadh on his way back from the Jakarta G-15 summit of developing nations, left Saudi Arabia after the meeting with Nuaimi, SPA said. — (AFP)
