A recently published international report expects Egypt to lead the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in spending on information technology (IT) by 2005. The report urged the Egyptian government to allocate additional investments for the sector in order to achieve further development.
The report, issued by the Aberdeen Technology Research Group, predicts Egyptians will spend six billion dollars on software and hardware computer products by 2005, compared with $750 million in 2001, reported Al-Hayat. — (menareport.com)
