Egypt's internal debt at EP180 billion

The Egyptian parliament warned the government of a worsening public debt. The parliament reported that the country’s internal debt value recently increased to 180 billion Egyptian Pounds compared with the $27 billion external debt value, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat .

The public debt burden amounts to EP 34 billion, which is equivalent to 26 percent of the country’s total budget.
