New customers wishing to subscribe to the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s Internet dial-up service will be offered free registration for one month between August 4 and September 3, 2003, Emirates Internet and Multimedia (EIM) announced.
By waiving the 100 Emirati dirham registration charge, EIM, the ISP business unit of Etisalat, aims to increase the country’s lead of the highest number of Internet users in the region. “Dial-up is the most common form of Internet access for the home user and this is a great opportunity for those who have been thinking about connecting to the Internet, but have not yet taken that initial step to register,” commented EIM General Manager Maroua Naim. — (menareport.com)
