Emirates Internet and Multimedia (EIM), the ISP business unit of Etisalat has established a partnership with the region’s e-shopping portal, UAEmall.com, to provide an online shopping solution via Albahhar.com.
The new site will be branded EIM Shopping Channel and will acquire its content from UAEmall.com. With over 1.25 million individual visitors every month to Albahhar.com, EIM is expecting to introduce the concept of e-shopping to a substantial number of new users throughout the region.
Albahhar’s EIM Shopping Channel is designed to offer users a range of products online from leading suppliers throughout the region. In total the site contains five channels that feature hundreds of goods. Users are able to access a computer channel, software channel, telephones and mobiles, music and DVD’s and the e-shop channel.
EIM was launched in 2000 introducing products including BusinessOne and Al-Shamil, the high speed ADSL internet connections, online registrations, pre-paid dial ‘n’ surf and Albahhar portal. Today the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has more than 945,000 users in total, placing the country in the top 20 most Internet wired countries in the world. — (menareport.com)
