EMC Corporation, developer of information storage systems, software, networks and services will supply MobileCom, a subsidiary of Jordan Telecom with a business continuity solution based on EMC Symmetrix DMX systems.
MobileCom is one of the first customers to deploy Symmetrix DMX information storage systems in the Middle East. The first phase includes the implementation of a storage area network (SAN) to protect and manage all of MobileCom's business-critical data, including customer records and financial information. Looking further ahead, MobileCom also plans to implement a remote disaster recovery site to protect the integrity of its data should any unplanned downtime occur.
MobileCom is the Jordanian public mobile telephone network operator, and it is the operator of the mobile communications license granted to Jordan Telecom.
