Sharjah-headquartered Modern House Furniture is to launch a eight million dollar manufacturing joint venture with a leading Sudanese player to penetrate the African market. Modern House, which manufactures office chairs and sofas and has showrooms in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, said the joint venture will establish a 12,000 square meter factory in Khartoum, confirmed a press release.
“It will turn out foam mattresses, sofa sets, chairs and material for partitions to begin with but gradually the range will be expanded,” said Managing Director of Modern House Furniture Sulaiman Abu Eida. The company is planning to showcase the joint venture’s capabilities and their Sharjah factory products at the Office Exhibition to be held in May. — (menareport.com)
