Emirates Airlines has formed a partnership with US-based International Freight and Logistics Network (IFLN), furthering its strategy of linking up with multinational forwarders with global capabilities.
This new agreement is the latest in a series of partnerships with leading global freight forwarders, in which Emirates provides the air carriage element. The airline will provide capacity, preferential rates, IT training and marketing support and a performance measurement system under the terms of the agreement, which comes into effect this month.
With a 6,50-strong workforce, Emirates Airlines recorded a 140 percent rise in its half-yearly profits, reaching Dh 404.2 million ($110 million) between January and June 2002. The airline posted first half operating revenues of $1.7 billion, a growth of 27 percent compared to $925.7 million in 1H01. — (menareport.com)
