Emirates will offer a special Iftar service for Muslim customers breaking their fast while traveling during the month of Ramadan. As sunset approaches, customers traveling to destinations in the Middle East, Gulf and Indian subcontinent region will be served a special Iftar menu.

Customers preparing to board aircraft at Dubai International Airport during the Iftar period will be offered snack boxes at the boarding gate to break their fast prior to boarding. Customers at a number of destinations across the network who are taking flights during the Iftar period will be offered water cuplets and dates while boarding.

Emirates' flights from Singapore to Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta and a number of flights from Karachi to Dubai will also carry an Iftar menu to cater for Muslim customers. Emirates now flies to 63 destinations in 45 countries, with the launch of services to the Japanese city of Osaka in October. The airline is planning to start operations to North America in 2003, with the delivery of the long-range Airbus A340-500 aircraft. — (menareport.com)
