Eros Group, the sole distributor of world-renowned brands Samsung, Hitachi & Taurus and one of the leading players in consumer electronics, telecom and allied multi-products in the Middle East, has now opened its largest warehousing facility, expanding its potential to serve the needs of the rapidly growing retail environment in the emirates.

”Eros Group made humble beginning in 1967 with Hitachi range of products and over the years the company diversified and grown to be a Dh 1 billion company. One of the main reasons for this growth was the focus on developing an infrastructure that supports the retail sector. Earlier the demand for goods was local rather than for regional or re-exports. We are seeing good synergy between retail and dealers and now the time has come to build customer satisfaction and confidence,” said Mr. Deepak Babani, CEO, Eros Group.

Located at Jebel Ali (SOUTH ZONE), Dubai, the new 140000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art warehouse facility, is capable of accommodating up to (350) containers.

“The main challenges in managing a facility of this size are inventory management and optimizing operational speed - i.e. loading, off-loading, picking, transferring goods etc. The new warehouse has addressed these issues by incorporating a full-fledged warehouse management system to automate all the transactions and operations,” added Mr. Deepak Babani.

The new facility is over twice times the size of Eros Group’s first warehouse. Supported by an efficient delivery network and sophisticated inventory management and stock replenishment systems, the warehouse is capable of speedy response to customer demands in any part of the emirates.
