Estarta Solutions and Microsoft Corporation will launch Cubic, a suite of mobility solutions that uses Estarta's technologies and leverages Microsoft's solution offerings to enable mobile information management and accessibility through the Short Messaging Service (SMS) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) offered by GSM operators.
The Creating Ultimate Breakthrough in Intelligent Communications connects to databases and back-office systems from one end, and to the GSM network from the other end, thus enabling access to information through the GSM network.
The Cubic suite of solutions has three main components: Cubic SME, which is targeted to small and medium enterprises, uses Estarta's technologies to SMS and WAP enable data for these enterprises, and can be upgraded to Cubic Enterprise Edition (EE), which is designed for large scale enterprises using the combination of Cubic SME, Microsoft's Mobile Information Server (MIS) and other Microsoft solutions such as BizTalk Server.
Cubic EE enables seamless connectivity to back-office and ERP solutions and offers a wide range of functionalities and advanced usage options. Cubic also offers a Personal Information Management component that enables mobility for corporate intranets and allows for group messaging and event notifications.
