Industrial output in the 11 countries of the euro zone incrased by 0.5 percent in July from the figure for June and by 5.1 percent over 12 months, official EU data showed on Tuesday.
In June euro-zone industrial output had fallen by 0.4 percent but in May it had risen by 0.6 percent.
The data, corrected for seasonal factors, showed that industrial output in all 15 countries of the European Union had increased by 0.5 percent in July from the figure for June after a decline of 1.1 percent in June and an increase of 1.1 percent in May.
On a 12-month comparision, industrial output in the EU had risen by 4.3 percent. - (AFP)
