European Investment Bank seeks stakes in Egyptian firms

The European Investment Bank (EIB) recently presented the Egyptian Industrial Development Bank with an offer to cooperate with, and finance certain projects of, Egyptian companies seeking corporate partners. 

 

EIB’s proposal would finance up to $2.2 million to enable the Development Bank to participate in various private capital ventures, especially in the areas of manufacturing and services, according to Al-Hayat daily.  

 

EIB has also expressed interest in entering joint ventures with several investment funds and other investment entities operating in Egypt. –(Mena Report).
