The European Union (EU) Steering Committee has included the United Arab Emirates (UAE) among the countries permitted to export fish products to its 15-member countries, reported WAM. The UAE has no restriction on exporting fish except for the months of June, July and August when the catch declines.
The UAE’s fishing industry ranks fourth in the Arab world and second among the Arabian Culf Cooperation Council (AGCC) states in volume of its annual catch. Approximately 20 fishing ports and 25 repair workshops have been established along the coastline to provide facilities for fishermen. — (menareport.com)
