Held at Dubai Autodrome, the meeting included an introduction to CJ by Chairman Mr Jay Hyun Lee, followed by a Union Properties credentials presentation by CEO Mr Simon Azzam. The Korean guests were then taken on a guided tour of the Autodrome’s facilities and amenities.

CJ Corporation was established in 1953 primarily as a food manufacturer but has since ventured into other areas, most notably bioengineering, pharmaceuticals, film distribution, cinemas, home shopping, finance and construction. It is today one of the most successful companies in South Korea.

Union Properties is one of the region’s leading property investment developers and real estate companies, noted for creating outstanding residential, commercial and recreational real estate initiatives, including Green Community, The Tower, Index and of course MotorCity, which incorporates Dubai Autodrome.

Mr Azzam stated, ‘CJ is an ambitious, dynamic, forward-thinking organisation with a worldwide presence and we are truly honoured to have met their directors to get a deeper understanding of their mission and premium range of products and services.’

Mr Jay Hyun Lee added, ‘Our aim is to create healthy lifestyles that are fun, with more convenience. In this respect, the CJ philosophy is very much in keeping with UP’s.’

Mr Azzam concluded, ‘I am quite sure we have further discussions in the not-too-distant future.’
