Sharjah Seaports and Customs Department has announced it had commenced expansion project of the Khorfakkan Container Terminal (KCT) at a total cost of Dh 300 million.
Isa Al Matawaa, Director General of Sharjah Seaports, said the project, the largest in the emirate, involves building new quays at a length of 400 metres and a breakwater at a length of 800 metres and reclaiming 150,000 metres for new storage capacity.
