A discount of up to 50 percent on rentals for young entrepreneurs is being offered by Dubai's Global Village with the support of the Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders.

"The Global Village is considered as an open trade market with traders from various corners of the world converging here," said Abdul Basit Janahi, CEO of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, according to Khaleej Times.

"And when our young adults set up their retail outlets there, this provides them an opportunity and the right environment to interact and learn from other more seasoned traders, who bring with them their rich experiences from various national backgrounds. This also enables them to cater to a multi-national customer base, considering that close to 200 nationalities come to visit the Global Village."

Along with the Global Village project, the Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment and the Dubai Government have set aside a fund of Dh700 million to invest in youth related projects.

"We believe that it is the firm foundation that we lay with their participation in events such as the Global Village that the youth become stronger, garner more experience and become more confident of their own skills and talents.

Helping the national youth is a good way of strengthening the cultural development of the nation and the UAE Government attaches great importance to projects concerning them," added Janahi.
