Fight against locusts cost Morocco $36 million

The fight against locusts cost Morocco $36 million up to July, including $4.25 million of foreign assistance, disclosed Morocco’s Secretary of State in Charge of Rural Development, during a recent meeting in Dakar, Senegal. 

 

According to MAP, Mohamed Mohattane said pesticides purchase and aircraft mobilization cost $23 million, say 64 percent of the total amount. 

 

Mohattane conveyed that up to August, 2 million hectares have been treated in Morocco. (menareport.com)
