Consolidated Building Systems has partnered with Finland’s Tekla to design and build a new grandstand canopy structure for Abu Dhabi's Al-Jazeera Club. Work on the project is underway, and the canopy is expected to be completed in July 2003.
More than 500 tons of steel has been used to build the cantilever canopy, created using Tekla’s X-Steel solution, the application for modeling and detailing of steel structures.
Consolidated Building Systems, founded in 1993 as a division within a major construction firm, was declared a separate entity in 1998. The company delivers structural steel products to clients such as corporate entities; state, local and federal governments, residential, sports, and education institutions throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and many other local and international firms. — (menareport.com)
