The Middle East Fairs and Conventions Association has begun preparations to host Jordan’s first Education & Training Fair on July 18th, according to Al-Dustour daily.
More than 25 Jordanian and Arab educational facilities have already confirmed their appearance in this exhibition. In addition, a number of computer, Internet and information technology centers are also expected to participate in the event, which will be held shortly before the start of the new academic season.
Education is one of Jordan’s top priorities, with official statistics showing that illiteracy rates amongst its local population recently dropping to a mere five percent. Students constitute approximately 45 percent of the country’s total population, attending one of Jordan’s 25 universities and numerous school facilities. ― (MENA Report)
