Initial estimates indicate that the first Syria-made car will be launched next June, a newspaper quoted informed sources. Al-Thawra daily published Monday comments made by board member of the Syrian-Iranian Company for Cars, Ziyad Qatini, saying that the one-model car will be launched during the first year of manufacturing with 1300cc and 1600cc and with some inner options.
He added that the production capacity will be 5000 cars annually, stressing that this output may be increased to 15,000 cars annually, according to the market demand.
The expected price will be more than half million Syrian Pounds. (Some US$10,000).
