Several Syrian ministerial commissions have recently begun preparations for an upcoming meeting of the Syrian-Iraqi Joint Committee in Baghdad, which will mark the first high-ranking Syrian visit to the country in over 20 years.
According to Al-Hayat daliy, the prime ministers of Syria and Iraq are to head the meetings, which are scheduled to take place later this month.
The ministerial technical committees have prepared drafts for potential agreements that are expected be signed by the Joint Committee, with the aim of promoting bilateral cooperation in the fields of industry, technology, investment and commerce. ― (MENA Report)
