Fono Distribution Services has appointed Hannu Ruoppa as its Managing Director for its operations across Middle East and Africa. He will look into improving the quality and efficiency of Fono's operations, both internally and externally and further expand the company's brand recognition, perception and profitability.
Ruoppa's vision is to continue strengthening Fono's position as a professional retailer throughout the Middle East and improve consumers' retail experience. He has extensive experience in the mobile telecom industry and has worked with leading telecommunications companies in senior management positions.
Fono opened its doors to the Middle East consumer for the first time in November 1999, marking the start of a revolution in mobile communications retailing in the region.
