A recently published report by the Saudi British bank titled Aspects of the Saudi Economy for 2002, asserts that future implications of the September 11 attacks on the United States are difficult to determine, reported Al-Hayat. According to the report, foreign investors and companies will re-evaluate the political risk involved in investing in the Middle East.

The economic slowdown in the United States is expected to adversely affect the Middle East region. Nevertheless, the report also concludes that terrorist attacks on the US soil could impose pressure on the Israelis and Palestinians to reach a solution to their ongoing conflict. — (menareport.com)
