Fujitsu Siemens Computers has appointed Logicom, one of the leading distributors in the Gulf and Levant IT markets, as a new distributor for its range of desktops, laptops, servers and accessories in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
Under the agreement signed recently, Logicom will be responsible for logistics, stock availability, credit arrangements, channel marketing and relationship management with resellers.
“The IT market in the Gulf is showing vast potential as the region braces for a scenario where every aspect of business and personal life is driven by computers and wireless gadgets,” said Farid Sabbagh, SME and Channel Manager, Middle East, Fujitsu Siemens Computers. “The abundant presence of IT vendors demands strategic moves aimed at effectively tapping the market potential. As one of the fastest growing vendors, Fujitsu Siemens Computers gives major importance to the selection of distributors. The appointment of Logicom is in line with our long-term goal of strengthening our market position in the four key countries since our 2tier Channel is expanding and we are reaching wider breadth of Customers.”
“Logicom is in constant pursuit of value addition to the reseller channel through the distribution of world-renowned brands. As part of this strategy, we welcome Fujitsu Siemens Computers to our portfolio of IT vendors and we are excited about the resulting business opportunities,” said Omiros Pissarides, General Manager, Logicom Dubai. “Our recently signed agreement with Fujitsu Seems Computers enables us to address the needs of an extended market segment of IT resellers through a stronger and more comprehensive offering.
