GAC Dubai’s Spirit ship stationed at Khor Fakkan port sailed out this week to officially begin the company's ship supply service out of Khor Fakkan.
"We decided to expand our service in response to market demand and this is a strategic addition to our bases at Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. " said Managing Director, GAC Dubai, Per Zachrisson. "With the extension of our ships' supply service to Khor Fakkan, GAC has a presence in all key locations in the UAE to better service customers."
"'GAC Spirit, a 134 GRT ship supply and crew vessel has a maximum speed of 18 knots and is now positioned at Khor Fakkan to quickly respond to our customers' requirements" said Business Manager, Tanker Department, GAC Dubai, Michael Sturesson.
The first vessel to be stationed for this service, GAC Spirit is equipped with a range of communication equipment, including wireless e-mail, internet and fax, keeping the ship in close contact with the GAC coordinating center in Fujairah.
GAC owns and operates a large fleet of marine craft including AHT/supply vessels up to 5,350 bhp, utility boats, landing craft, tugs, barges and heavy lift equipment. The equipment can be individually modified to meet specific requirements for a variety of applications.
The GAC Group is an independent shipping and transport services provider, with over 200 offices worldwide. GAC offers a number of special services in addition to ship's agency services. These include ships' supply services in the Middle East and other regions, ship-to-ship transfers, and bunker supplies. — (menareport.com)
