GAC is the only International Safety Management (ISM) approved and certified ship supply operator in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for shipboard and shore based management of vessels with the re-certification issued by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) recently.
The ISM measures were developed in-house by a dedicated team and approved by DNV. GAC's focus on the complete safety of its operations is particularly significant in light of comprehensive measures announced by International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to bolster global maritime security.
Additionally, GAC's operations already meet the requirements of regional Port State Control in advance of the January 1, 2003 deadline set by the UAE Government.
As one of the regions major ship supply companies, GAC provides services out of Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al-Khaimah in the UAE include crew changes and the supply of spares and provisions in Gulf waters.
GAC first received ISM certification two years ago and has remained the only ship supply company with this certification. GAC is also certified as an ISO 9002 company by DNV. — (menareport.com)
