The GCC common market is to be officially launched by the end of 2006, ahead of its scheduled announcement next year, GCC Secretary General Abdul Rahman bin Hamad al Attiyah said on Wednesday.
According to Kuna, the move is part of the wish of the six member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to meet needs of the market as deteremined by leaders of the countries during a summit meeting in Doha in 2002, Attiyah told noted.
