GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, medical information and technology firm, and EMC Corporation, information storage company, have announced a joint agreement which enables GE to offer EMC networked storage systems and software to healthcare professionals in the Middle East. The new healthcare solutions, which will soon be utilized by medical centers across the region, integrate technologies from both companies.
Under the global reseller agreement, EMC becomes a primary provider of automated networked storage systems and software for GE, designed to increase productivity, asset utilization and efficiency. GE Medical Systems Information Technologies will offer EMC’s Symmetrix, CLARiiON and Celerra networked storage systems and software, including EMC ControlCenter and PowerPath, as part of its Enterprise Image Management Solution.
This technology includes GE’s Centricity Radiology and Centricity Cardiology systems, which provide advanced workflow solutions for various care areas with a common infrastructure for data storage and image distribution.
