Spectro Analytical, a German producer of analytical instruments, is planning to open a regional office within the Gulf and has short-listed Dubai or Bahrain. “Our aim is to gain deeper Middle East market penetration in a region of sustained economic growth,” said Volker Dreisbach, Spectro Analytical sales director for the Middle East, Africa and the Sub-continent region.
Spectro Analytical, which makes industrial equipment, for the chemical, petrochemical, food, water and oil industries, stated a final decision will follow its forthcoming participation in the Chemtex & Corrosion Middle East exhibition, which will be held in Dubai in March 2002.
“For us, the Middle East and neighboring regions Africa and the Sub-continent remain among the few growth areas in the world where new infrastructure is required to cope with modern advancements. Our research shows that in the Middle East, the metal processing industry will sustain five percent annual growth of the next three years, while the construction sector will witness growth of between 10-20 percent over the same period.”
At Chemtex & Corrosion Middle East, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), from March 12-14, Spectro Analytical plans to launch new on-line process monitoring solutions for the petrochemicals industry and to hold a seminar devoted to web-based process monitoring. To date, exhibitors from eight countries have contracted for Chemtex & Corrosion Middle East 2002, which will also feature pavilions from Germany, South Africa, India and Russia. — (menareport.com)
