Gold rose more than 5 percent in four trading days, from $4,046 on 31 July to $4,272 on 6 August. Markets do not move like that on familiar news, and this move tracked a currency rescue rather than a geopolitical one, according to Nagham Hassan, Market Analyst at etoro.
