Director of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, accompanied by a Greek business delegation, is presently visiting Cairo, reported Al-Akhbar daily. Meeting with their Egyptian counterparts, the Greek delegation will discuss the establishment of joint projects in the sectors of raw building materials, textiles, food products and chemicals.
Egyptian exports to Greece in recent years saw a light decrease, from $105 million in 1997 to $103 million in 1999. Similarly, the value of the Greek exports to Egypt declined from $104 million to $79 million during the same period. — (MENA Report)
